Nautilus Shell

Scroll saw shell comprised of dozens of laminated wedges of cherry, walnut, and maple individually cut out and securely bonded together. After hours of sanding and application of several coats of finish followed by Renaissance wax to achieve a protective and radiant coat, a lasting piece of art and an intriguing conversation piece has emerged!

Materials: Cherry, maple, and walnut

Base:  Maple spheres resting on hardwood. Undersurface of base treated with soft dark brown flocking.
