About

I'm Tom Dugdale, formerly Thomas Dugdale, M.D., orthopedic surgeon.  These days, I'm just...Tom, the woodworker...

After decades of fixing bones and joints, I have transitioned from the operating room to my workshop, switching from bone to wood and founding Bones2Wood.  I enjoy creating  keepsake boxes, nautilus shells, custom bowls, end grain cutting boards, edge grain cutting boards, charcuterie boards enhanced with epoxy, and river boards. It is so satisfying to be able to reveal beautiful colors and grain patterns in the process of turning raw lumber into the final products.

Nothing leaves the shop without the approval of Tina, my wife, quality control specialist, and sales/marketing expert.  Without her assistance and acceptance of an inordinate amount of sawdust, Bones2Wood would not be possible.

Besides selling our products on-line and to local visitors, we have been fortunate to have been accepted to juried arts and craft shows where we enjoy setting up our booth, chatting with people, and sharing our ideas.
