Baltic Birch and Multi-color Spectra-ply Basket Weave Bowl

Unique functional art bowl that has as many uses as the imagination can summon. Unlike many other bowls, this one has never seen a lathe. Several complex processing steps are involved, incorporating the skillful use of numerous shop tools, to create this pleasing basket weave design.  Multiple rings of high grade baltic birch are separated by thin layers of cherry accented with strips of multi-colored spectra-ply.

Use this one-of-a-kind piece to store fruit, house keys, recipes, or you name it. Or show off its beauty on a table or shelf as a stand alone piece of art.  It will surely gain attention as a conversation piece.

Several coats of shellac and a final coat of Renaissance wax provide a lasting protective coat.
