Inventory has gotten pretty low due to increased holiday demand. A batch of cherry and walnut edge grain cutting boards with an arc of 3-ply inlay is currently in the works. These boards look great when finished, they’re fun, but tricky, to make. Right now all the boards have been cut into two large segments. The strips will be inserted between the segments, the boards will be glued up again. Then it’s on to the planer, table saw sled to square them up, drum sander, router table for edging, orbital sander, pre-drilling holes for screws to hold the rubber feet in the back corners, saturating with food-grade mineral oil, applying final finish of beeswax/ oil mixture, shooting photos, posting on the website, and waiting for my phone to ding, signaling an order 🙂
