Fun custom project for a very sweet grandmother who wanted to gift two of her newlywed grandchildren a lazy Susan with an inlay of Italy.
I don’t own a CNC or engraver. I resawed the front of each center section with the bandsaw before gluing to create a thin 3/8” front panel. Inlays done by stack cutting using a scrollsaw, and then glued the center panels back to full-thickness. Used Fisher’s jig to cut the circles on the table saw.. Initials drawn with stencils and burned by hand. Took a while, but the client was happy with them.
Walnut and hard maple. 16” diameter x 1”. Standard lazy Susan hardware bought on Amazon. Fun project!
