We have been fortunate to have been accepted to quality juried craft shows. The overwhelming majority of patrons are very complimentary and seem to be sincere with their comments. Rarely are the prices questioned because most attendees seem knowledgeable enough to know how much work goes into producing our work. For many of the pieces, I'm sure that we're working well below minimum wage. And that's fine because it's more about the enjoyment of making things than it is about revenue.
Occasionally, We're asked if we'd accept less money for an item, which is...awkward. Will giving up $20 put us that much further into debt with this enterprise? Of course not. But does that person really need to save that $20? Doubtful. Anyway...next time I'm asked to reduce a price, I think I'll show this image of what happens when my fingers have to do too much sanding in one day...
